Mr. Causey is the founder and now an Associate of Causey Engineering LLC. Causey Engineering has for over 18 years been providing forensic and investigative engineering services and litigation support, specializing in industrial and construction safety and scaffolding. Mr. Causey has particular experience in railroads, pulp, paper, lumber, power plants, construction, scaffolding, safety and Forensic Engineering. He has been a licensed Professional Engineer since "earliest eligibility".

Founder of the firm that specializes in providing forensic engineering and investigative services as indicated above. Turned the firm operations over to Mr. Hietpas July 1, 2001. Jim Causey continues as a full time Forensic Engineer and experienced Arbitrator, providing services both nationally and internationally.
Causey Engineering LLC provides engineering and operations analysis, governmental regulation investigation and interpretation, accident reconstruction and litigation support primarily related to pulp and paper mills, lumber manufacturing, food manufacturing, material handling, chemical plants, central power stations, gas and oil well production, refineries, railroads, construction, and warehousing. Mr. Causey has made 30 court appearances, 100 depositions, 8 arbitrations, and worked 455 files.
Kellogg Brown & Root, Houston TX 1977 – 1983
Project Engineering Manager: Supervised the design of plants and plant expansions. Work required an intimate knowledge of pulp & paper manufacturing, boiler houses and chemical recovery processes, including plant equipment, operations, maintenance and design requirements.
Weyerhaeuser Company, Tacoma WA 1956-1977
Project Manager: Managed two major expansions for Weyco at Valliant OK and Pine Bluff AR. Served as Chief Engineer at Broken Bow OK, Assistant Chief Engineer at Pine Bluff AR, and Staff Engineer at Hot Springs AR.
